OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill. (July 8, 2019) – Mid-America Asset Management, Inc. recently secured a new retail lease at Ashland Wellington Plaza in Chicago, Illinois, marking the completion of leasing at the center.
Hi-Vibe signed a lease for 1,243 square feet at 2900 North Ashland Avenue, bringing its third cold-pressed juice, smoothie and health food concept to the final remaining space at the plaza.
Located in the heart of Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood, Ashland Wellington Plaza features a diversified tenant line-up consisting of restaurant, service, specialty, and medical retailers.
Mid-America began leasing efforts in May 2017 on behalf of St. Louis, Missouri-based The DESCO Group. Two years later, the once 50 percent vacant property is now 100 percent leased.
Tenants are complemented by high performing shadow-anchor Jewel-Osco drawing significant daily traffic to the center. Children’s Healthcare Associates opened in the 7,235 square foot endcap position in July 2018 after relocating to the center from their previous Lakeview location. Success of existing tenants has also prompted recent expansions. Sparrow Dental signed a new long-term lease to expand their business into 2,522 square feet and Happy Nails will relocate and expand into a brand-new space totaling 1,617 square feet.
The property also underwent a complete façade renovation in 2018.
