Mid-America Secures Five New Retail Leases in Chicago Area

OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill. (October 17, 2016) –  Richard Spinell, principal of Oakbrook Terrace-based Mid-America Asset Management Inc., announced that the firm recently secured five new retail leases on behalf of shopping centers in the Chicagoland area. Highlighted transactions are listed below.

Aurora, Ill. (DuPage County)Dependable Maytag signed a lease for 8,500 square feet at Aurora Marketplace located at the northwest corner of Route 59 and 75th Street in Aurora, Ill. The 336,741-square-foot center is anchored by Hobby Lobby, Flood & Décor and Bob’s Discount Furniture. Mid-America Principal Marget Graham and Leasing Representative Paige Schiesser represented the landlord.

St. Charles, Ill. (Kane County) OrangeTheory Fitness signed a lease for 4,090 square feet at Main Street Commons located at the southeast corner of Main Street and Kirk Road in St. Charles, Ill. The 171,648-square-foot center is anchored by World Market. The location is expected to open January 2017. Mid-America Leasing Representative Angela Gasbarro represented the landlord.

Lincolnshire, Ill. (Lake County) Marigold Maison, an Indian Restaurant, signed a lease for 3,472 square feet at Lincolnshire Commons at the northwest corner of Milwaukee Avenue and Aptakisic Road in Lincolnshire, Ill. The 133,024-square-foot center is anchored by Northshore Medical Group, DSW and Cheesecake Factory. Mid-America Vice President Jaime Bertsche and Leasing Representative Angela Gasbarro represented the landlord. Marc Offit of Sierra Realty Advisors represented the tenant.

Chicago (Cook County) AT&T signed a lease for 2,357 square feet at 1891 Division Street in the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago. The location is expected to open Q4 of 2016. Mid-America Vice Presidents Greg Bayer and Jamie Bertsche along with Leasing Representative Samantha Schnell represented the landlord. Danny Jacobson and Stephen Ansani of Cushman and Wakefield represented the tenant.

Mokena, Ill. (Will County) Nothing Bundt Cakes signed a lease for 2,000 square feet at Mokena Marketplace at the southwest corner of west Lincoln Highway and Wolf Road in Mokena, Ill. The 49,058-square-foot center is shadow-anchored by Meijer, JCPenney, and PetSmart. The location is expected to open February 2017. Mid-America Leasing Representatives Sarah Norlander and Campbell Wickland represented the landlord.
