Mid-America Secures 5 New Retail Leases in Chicago Area

OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill. (August 24, 2016) –  Richard Spinell, principal of Oakbrook Terrace-based Mid-America Asset Management Inc., announced that the firm recently secured five new retail leases on behalf of shopping centers in the Chicagoland area. Highlighted transactions are listed below in order of size.

Algonquin, Ill. (McHenry County) The Tile Shop signed a lease for 10,050 square feet at Algonquin Commons located at the southwest corner of Randall Road and County Line Road in Algonquin, Ill. The 578,825 -square-foot center includes tenants Dick’s Sporting Goods, DSW, Old Navy, Nordstrom Rack, Ulta and Trader Joe’s. Mid-America Principal Marget Graham and Leasing Representative Samantha Schnell represented the landlord. Bill Argall of Great Street Realty represented the tenant.

Aurora, Ill. (Will County)Pet People signed a lease for 4,800 square feet at Prairie Point located at New York Street and Eola Road in Aurora, Ill. The 91,535 -square-foot center also includes tenant Mariano’s Fresh Market. The location is expected to open November 2016. Mid-America Principal Marget Graham and Leasing Representative Sarah Norlander represented the landlord. Bobby Melsher of Metro Commercial Real Estate represented the tenant.

Bloomington, Ill (McLean County)Orange Theory Fitness signed a lease for 3,016 square feet at Empire Crossing located at Veterans Parkway and Route 9 in Bloomington, Ill. The 58,222-square-foot center is anchored by Dick’s Sporting Goods, Home Goods, Five Below, Ashley Furniture and DSW (coming Spring 2017.) The location is expected to open in November 2016. Mid-America Leasing Representative Samantha Schnell represented the landlord. Nathan Tonnies of Metro Commercial Real Estate represented the tenant.

Orland Park, Ill. (Cook County)Evereve signed a lease for 3,000 square feet at Orland Park Crossing located at the northeast corner of 143rd Street and LaGrange Road in Orland Park, Ill. The location is expected to open in April 2017. The 107,371 -square-foot center includes tenants Soft Surroundings, Chico’s, White House Black Market and Talbots. Mid-America Leasing Representative Samantha Schnell and Leasing Representative Paige Schiesser represented the landlord. Robin Sande of RKF represented the tenant.

Elmhurst, Ill. (DuPage County) Hand and Stone Massage signed a lease for 2,562 square feet at an Elmhurst Retail Outlot located at the northwest corner of York Street and I-290 in Elmhurst, Ill. The 7,812-square-foot center includes tenants Starbucks and Bentley's Pet Stuff and is shadow anchored by Mariano’s Fresh Market. The location is expected to open in November 2016. Mid-America Principal Marget Graham and Leasing Representative Maria Rossobillo represented the landlord. Jon Bolsins and Jonathan Hill of Morrow Hill represented the tenant.
