Mid-America Signs Rookies Sports Pub & Grill to Poplar Creek Crossing in Chicago’s NW Suburbs

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill.  (August 27, 2009) – Rookies Sports Pub & Grill recently signed a lease for 5,148 square feet at Poplar Creek Crossing in Hoffman Estates, Ill., according to Richard Spinell, Principal of Oakbrook Terrace-based Mid-America Asset Management, Inc., the center’s exclusive leasing representative. The independent Chicagoland chain is expected to open its third pub and grill at the 400,000 square-foot power center in fall 2009. Other locations are in St. Charles and Elgin.

The menu at Rookies includes burgers, sandwiches, salads, pizza, BBQ ribs, chicken, steaks, more than 30 appetizers, and an extensive children’s menu. Numerous flat screen HD televisions are posted throughout the establishment for optimal game viewing. The Rookies brand is owned by Village Squire, Inc., which also operates Village Squire restaurants in Dundee, Crystal Lake, McHenry, and South Elgin, as well as Alexander’s in Elgin.

Mid-America Vice President Marget Graham and Leasing Representative Katie Hennegan handled the lease on behalf of the landlord, The Archon Group. Representing the tenant was Greg Hoard of GS Hoard & Company.   

Poplar Creek Crossing is anchored by Target, T.J.Maxx, Michaels, PetSmart and Office Max, and is located on the southwest corner of Routes 59 and 72 in Hoffman Estates, a northwest suburb of Chicago.
