Shauna Sokolis joined Mid-America Real Estate – Minnesota, LLC (formerly Park Midwest Commercial Real Estate), in 2004. In this role she is responsible for general ledger entries, month end financial statements, Operating Expense and Real Estate Tax reconciliations. In addition, Ms. Sokolis is involved in the preparation of annual budgets, easement administration, as well as daily interaction with Property Managers, banks, and clients. Her experience encompasses shopping centers, comprised of both private and institutional ownerships, for regional and prominent national investment companies such as Principal, REEF, and Invesco.
Prior to joining Mid-America Real Estate – Minnesota, LLC, Shauna worked in property accounting for Grubb & Ellis Management, Inc. and CB Richard Ellis, Inc. There her primary focus was on general ledger, month-end financial statements, and cash management. She is proficient in both Yardi and MRI accounting systems. Ms. Sokolis utilizes available information to effectively discuss Operating Expense and Real Estate Tax reconciliations with retailers ranging from small local owners to large national retail store chains. The properties she has worked on have involved multiple building centers that require CAM reconciliations for each building along with easements that require separate accounting for expenses that will be split between various entities.
Shauna received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Financial Accounting from Illinois State University.
