Kim is the Project Director at Mid-America Real Estate – Minnesota, LLC. Mr. Jacobsen is responsible for overseeing and directing the Design and Construction for all of Mid-America properties in the Minnesota portfolio. He has been involved in all aspects of commercial projects, providing services from concept and feasibility planning, architectural design, project administration, through the completion of construction for its clients.
Kim has an extensive background in retail and commercial projects. He has successfully assisted clients in achieving their project goals with good design, construction, and management skills. Through the years he has worked with both tenants and owners and has a strong understanding of their needs and requirements to make a project successful. He has the ability to deliver a full scope of project services including setting project goals and budgets, building and site layout and design, government approvals, project management and construction observation.
In the late 70’s he began his career working in architectural/design firms. By 1980 he was Vice President of Retail Design for GRP Associates, Inc., a large architectural firm providing retail supermarket, restaurant, and shopping center design. In 1982 he joined Descon Associates, Inc., an architectural firm as President. In 1987 Kim formed KRJ Associates, LLC, an architectural/project management firm which grew to be a regional presence in the field.
Kim has a degree in architecture from the University of Minnesota. He is a past member of the AIA and has earned recognition as an award winning designer of commercial buildings and shopping centers. With the architectural and construction background and years of experience he can handle all aspects of a project and will use that expertise to help Mid America Real Estate Group deliver a successful project and services to its clients.
