Andrew Becker is a Vice President in Mid-America’s Chicago office. He has more than ten years of diverse real estate knowledge in property disposition, leasing, acquisition, due diligence, valuation and lease restructuring. Mr. Becker has wide reaching experience as real estate advisor to private equity business, retailers, attorneys, lenders and restructuring professionals.
Throughout his career, Mr. Becker has represented numerous national retailers in surplus portfolio property disposition and lease related services. He also has vast experience in the retail bankruptcy arena. Mr. Becker has been involved in more than 100 transactions representing nearly 5,000,000 square feet. The aggregate value of these transactions exceeds $250 million.
Prior to joining Mid-America, Mr. Becker was Vice President at Chicago-based Hilco Real Estate from 2006-2011. In his role with Hilco Real Estate, Mr. Becker led the Property Disposition Practice where he gained an expert knowledge of property disposition through traditional and structured sale processes. Mr. Becker also focused time and efforts on portfolio lease restructuring for national, regional and local tenants.
Mr. Becker holds a Bachelor degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder and continuing education through the Chicago School of Real Estate and CCIM Institute. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, a mentor for the Illinois Education Foundation, and a board member for the Young Adult Council for The Cancer Wellness Center.
