Andrew Becker is a Vice President in Mid-America’s Chicago office. He has more than fifteen years of diverse real estate knowledge in leasing, tenant representation, property disposition, acquisition, due diligence, valuation and lease restructuring. Mr. Becker has wide reaching experience as real estate advisor to landlords, retailers, restauranteurs, private equity business, lenders and restructuring professionals.
In his role with the Urban Team at Mid-America, Mr. Becker has focused his time and energy to establish an expert knowledge in Chicago's urban retail landscape. The scope of knowledge reaches from high street retail in the downtown area to neighborhood environments throughout the greater city. Mr. Becker has been involved in more than 200 transactions representing over 6,000,000 square feet. The aggregate value of these transactions exceeds $600 million. Clients include: Sterling Bay, Northpond Partners, CIM, CA Ventures, Madison Captial, Pinetree, Cedar Street, Centrum Partners, Georgetown Companies, Hubbard Street Partners, LG Development, Tishman, Barteca, First Ascent Climbing & Fitness, Kuma's Corner and Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club amongst others.
Prior to joining Mid-America, Mr. Becker was Vice President at Chicago-based Hilco Real Estate from 2006-2011. In his role with Hilco Real Estate, Mr. Becker led the Property Disposition Practice where he gained an expert knowledge of property disposition through traditional and structured sale processes as well as lease restructuring both in and out of the bankruptcy arena.
Mr. Becker holds a Bachelor degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder and continuing education through the Chicago School of Real Estate and CCIM Institute. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and a Chicago committee member for the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance.
